Our History
HDG | the fruit consultants has more than 40 years of experience in the fresh produce industry.
At HDG the fruit consultants we take care of your fruit and vegetables. No matter if you are in need of an inspection by a quality inspector or a surveyor anywhere in the world, you can contact us – we are looking forward to working with you!
With almost 50 employees, we are based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We have been specializing in quality control of fruits and vegetables since 1981. Working for importers, exporters and the insurance industry, we have developed extensive experience in this field.
By expanding our operations and working with companies worldwide, we have been able to build a strong name in the market and expanded our network with international surveyors. In the Netherlands, we benefit from our cooperation with Fruitify Experts, Agri Software and HDG Academy, both also based in Rotterdam. Abroad, we have expanded our business with HDG Germany in Hamburg and HDG Ibérica in Valencia, Spain. To read more about these companies, click here. It is our goal to become the best perishable cargo specialist in the market. We combine high-quality service with integrity, reliability, loyalty and knowledge in order to provide customer satisfaction at its best.
At HDG we want to embody operational excellence and strive to be the best in the market. We do so by being inquisitive and questioning, often leading to outstanding discoveries. With our work we want to set high standards and provide high value to our customers at all times. By constantly reviewing and aiming to improve our operations, we hope to be able to serve our clients increasingly well.
By stimulating learning experiences and having our employees build up their knowledge, they constantly have a chance to learn and improve, while at the same time creating, maintaining and at times even advancing, their passion.
NIVRE
We are passionate about constant improvement. This is reflected in how business is conducted at our company, as well as in our team of employees.
We have multiple registered surveyors working at our office, which have been officially acknowledged by the Dutch Institute of Registered Surveyors (NIVRE).
This institution does not only accredit individuals with this title, but is also responsible for controlling the quality standards of the registered surveyors themselves.
