Holidays are coming
Who is not excited about Christmas?! Now that the holidays are coming, the days are getting shorter and colder, chocolate consumption rockets and love is all around. We at HDG can’t wait for Christmas to come! We wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Have a good one!
Never stop improving
Never stop improving – with this being an important motto at HDG, 7 of our colleagues from HDG | the fruit consultants and HDG Services participated in an post-harvest technology course of the University of Wageningen this October. The institution is known for its scientific knowledge and research in the area of storing and handling fruits and vegetables and all associated technical developments such as Controlled Atmosphere, packaging and cooling technology.
A vast variety of topics were discussed and our staff very much enjoyed the information they were able to gather. But there was more: besides classes being given at the University itself, the group also went on a field trip and visited several companies, including a trader in fruit and vegetables, a cold store and a company specialized in packaging technology. All in all a very successful 4-day course to move yet another step ahead.
We have had eventful past months – the rebuilding of our office, publishing our new website and an ongoing busy season. Now it's time for travels; at least for some of us.
Next to a trip to Peru, Otto de Groot and his colleague Stijn Verstijnen have their minds set on China. In the fall of this year they are planning to visit existing and potential clients of our subsidiary HDG Asia in order to promote our business even further at trade fairs in China.
Make sure to keep an eye on the Asiafruit Magazine edition of July/August, where HDG Asia will be featured in an interesting article.
